After having worked overseas for a number of years, we returned to New Zealand in 2006 and settled in Dunedin. We quickly learnt to appreciate that Dunedin has a lot to offer. It turned out that this was the ideal place for us to bring up our 3 young boys. Great schools, an abundance of sport and a university on our doorstep which helped turn our young boys into 3 fantastic young men.
My wife and I started a small local florist/gift business a few years ago and we have been made to feel very much a part of this community.
I have a background in the aviation industry where I have worked as a pilot for over 30 years. Most of my flying has been in New Zealand, with approximately 11 years working in the Cook Islands, Asia, and the Middle East. I have held various roles from flying instructor, operating scheduled passenger services, flying freight and management roles. Probably some of the most unique and memorable experiences occurred when operating the first commercial flights flying freight into Afghanistan and Iraq during the initial phase of the military conflict in both countries.
I believe that many of the experiences and attributes that I have gained from aviation can be equally applied to the real estate industry. Self discipline, teamwork, operating to high standards, and following established policies and procedures are just a few examples. Having worked with a diverse range of cultures, I have developed an appreciation and respect for cultural differences and customs.
I am a hard-working and driven individual who isn't afraid to face a challenge. I am a firm believer in honesty and ethics, and putting in the effort to achieve great results for my clients. Having started flying at the age of 17, I learnt early on that passion, determination, and perseverance are some of the key ingredients for successful outcomes.
I feel very privileged to be working with such an experienced team at Lincoln Darling Real Estate and would welcome the opportunity to assist you in all your commercial real estate needs.
